This book contains a collection of photos I took over the period of London’s second lockdown, from November to December 2020. It represents a view into the lives of my flatmates and myself, into our physical and emotional realities. My decision to shoot on 35mm film was my way of keeping as closely connected with my physical environment as possible - grounding myself when the world felt surreal. Lockdown diaries aims to communicate how we created stillness in times of uncertainty. It is a visual journey from feelings of bleakness to moments of comfort and peace.
